When the device is dropped, the first and strongest impact is most likely going to be on a corner rather than directly on the back. The Mod NX frame will absorb most of the impact force in the majority of daily use scenarios. If the backplate receives impacts, most of the energy will be transferred to the Mod NX frame due to the physical properties of the material and the design of the case. Aside from being impact protective, the Mod NX backplate is also scratch-resistant*, highly transparent, durable, and completely non-toxic.
